Biography for Bonne

Bonne Lee Emery began painting in 1972.  She kept at it on a casual basis and then in 1995 she started to get very serious about it.

 

She’s studied under some really great painters all over the United States.  These include Bob Gerbracht, Jan Kunz, Jim Lewis, Dale Gehrman, and Sharon Rickert among others.

 

She Managed and ran Rickert Gallery and Frame Shop  on the beautiful coast of Oregon, in Lincoln City for nine years, painting whenever there was a bit of time.

 

She most enjoys doing seacapes  in oil and very large flowers in watercolor.

 

When asked what got her going into painting, she replies “I  love the world painting takes me into, and the ocean that is so soothing and wild at the same time.”

 

She has traveled throughout the world and currently resides in Montana.  Still traveling throughout the northwest and down to Florida occasionally.  Her work is placed in private collections throughout the world.
